UCCRC Food Drive

President Barack Obama has declared June 27, 2009 as “National Health Care Day of
Service.” You can participate in this unique event, and still spend Saturday with your
friends and family. All you have to do is donate healthy, nonperishable food to the University of Chicago Cancer Research Center (UCCRC) food drive. You can drop off your
contribution at one of the convenient locations listed below from Monday, June 22
through Friday, June 26. We will deliver this healthy food to food pantries in the local
neighborhoods on June 27.

One of our goals is to promote healthy eating and living. More that 165,000 Americans
die of cancer each year because of poor nutrition, lack of exercise, and carrying too
much weight. Help us deliver this message to the community by donating nutritious
food.

Drop-off Locations

1. The Cancer Research Center, Room H 212 (above the Goldblatt Pavilion)
2. The Cancer Resource Center in the DCAM Lobby
(to your left as you walk in the front door)
3. Boxes strategically placed for your convenience near Medical Center entrances
